Made Strong Through Weakness

Some people talk about depending on God every day. I depend on God every second. For you
see, I have had seizures since 1966 due to a fractured skull in a 1955 car accident. I have 1 or
more seizures 3 out of every 4 days.

Sometimes I will be talking and can't finish the sentence. Other times I can't talk for hours.
Sometimes I am confused and don't know what's happening or where I am.

In my data processing management position, I had to make numerous high-level presentations.
I never knew if I would be able to do it or not. Yet, I didn't worry about it, but just depended
on the Lord. Most times I was able to do it without problems.

In 1989 I had exploratory surgery (had 2 holes drilled through my skull while I was awake) to
see if I was a good candidate for corrective surgery. The Lord was with me and gave me unspeakable
peace beyond understanding, to the extent that I did not need medicine to relax me. (The results were
inconclusive and I was not able to have corrective surgery.) I went on permanent disability in April
1995 and have not been able to drive since December 1995. The Lord has been with me so much I
coped well with being a "prisoner in my own home." In fact, he has given me ministries to serve
Him in my home.

He has used me, through E-mail/Internet:
* to be owner/moderator of a world wide prayer conference/list.
* to distribute illustrations to pastors for use in their sermons.
* to distribute Christian related materials to my church members.

II Corinthians 12:9-10 is my testimony.
"My grace is sufficient for you, for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Therefore most gladly I
will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore, I take pleasure
in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake. For when I am
weak, then I am strong."

God Bless You
