1107th -- Message On Being Born Again

The Lord Jesus declares in John 3:3 “Verily, verily, I say unto thee,
Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” When the
Lord Jesus says that a man can't see the kingdom of God unless he is born
again, the Lord Jesus is saying that we must be born of the Spirit of God.
Just as we are physically born into this world from our mother's womb, so
must we be spiritually born by the Spirit of God to enter into the kingdom
of heaven, hence the words of Jesus 'you must be born again.' When we are
born of the Spirit of God, we are acknowledging our sins, our iniquities
and our need for the Savior. When we acknowledge Jesus Christ as our Lord
and Savior, we are accepting His finished work on the Cross and by our
proclamation of faith we are committing our life to Him.

There is no other way to Heaven except through the Cross of Christ. He
died for all mankind once and for all. His sacrifice was necessary for
our redemption. No man can go to God and say I am righteous by my own
merits because we are all sinners. Our very nature is sinful. Psalm 51:5
declares “Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother
conceive me.” When our great ancestor Adam sinned against God by
disobeying His command, Adam's sin was carried over to every descendent
born from his seed. That is why Jesus is called the last Adam who came to
redeem and deliver us from our sins and save us from our unrighteousness.
We read this in 1 Corinthians 15:21-22 “For since by man came death, by
Man also came the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even
so in Christ all shall be made alive.”

Just as the first Adam brought sin into this world, so did the last Adam,
Jesus Christ, bring deliverance from sin through His sacrifice on the
Cross. When Jesus died for the sins of the world, He paid the debt that
we owed and now when God sees us covered in the blood of Jesus, He no
longer sees sinners, but now He sees the Redeemed, Sanctified and blood
bought church that are now heirs and joint heirs with Christ. We become
the righteousness of God not because we are good, but because Jesus Christ
is good for all of us. We are covered by His blood that was shed for our
sins. He redeemed us and not we ourselves and that is why we must be born
of the Spirit of God so that we may shed this sinful nature and take on
the nature of God which is righteous, pure and wholesome.
(Colossians 1:12-20) (Revelation 1:5-7) (2 Corinthians 5:19-21)

How does one become born again? That question is answered right from the
Bible. Romans 10:9-10 declares “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth
the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him
from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto
righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” God
has made salvation so simple, but man tries to complicate what God has made
to be easy for us. We simply confess Christ; we ask for His forgiveness
for our sins and iniquities, we believe that He died on the Cross for our
sins and we accept His sacrifice for ourselves. With our heart we believe
and with our mouth we confess that Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior.
It is so simple, even a child understands it.

Salvation is required of each of us if we want to be accepted by God and
welcomed into His heaven. We must make that conscious decision to accept
Jesus Christ for ourselves. We can't inherit heaven or be welcomed there
simply because we think we are good people. In God's sight without Christ
no man is good. Isaiah 64:6 declares “But we are all as an unclean thing,
and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags...” If good works or good
deeds could have made us acceptable to God, then Christ wouldn't have came
to earth to suffer and die on the cross. His sacrifice shows us that He
is the only way to Heaven. There is no other way. His sacrifice is
enough. That is why before He died on the Cross, the Lord Jesus said “It
Is Finished.” (Romans 5:8-11) (2 Peter 3:9) (Galatians 2:21) (John 19:30)

Be encouraged to see your need for the Savior. He welcomes all who call
upon His name in truth. He will reject non. He will redeem all. He will
write your name in the Book of Life and His Angels will welcome you into
Heaven when your time on earth comes to an end. He is worthy to be called
Holy. He loves you and wishes for you to be one with Him. Acknowledge
your sin, repent of it and ask Christ to come into your heart. It was the
best decision I've ever made and it will be yours as well. To have Jesus
Christ is to have everything, but to have everything without Christ is to
really have nothing. Call upon Him today.
(Luke 15:7) (Revelation 20:12) (Psalm 91:11)

Read and meditate on these scriptures:

Romans 8:16-17 “The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we
are children of God, and if children, then heirs-heirs of God and joint
heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be
glorified together.”

1 John 1:8-10 “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and
the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just
to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we
say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His Word is not in us.”

Isaiah 55:6-9 “Seek ye the LORD while He may be found, call ye upon Him
while He is near: Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man
his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and He will have mercy
upon him; and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon. For My thoughts
are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, saith the LORD. For
as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your
ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.”

Mark 8:36-38 The Lord Jesus declares
“For what shall it profit a man, if
he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man
give in exchange for his soul? Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of Me
and of My words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also
shall the Son of man be ashamed, when He cometh in the Glory of His Father
with the Holy Angels.”

All of these scriptures can be found in the King James Version Bible.
