One thing I know about the Bible, God's Holy Word, is that every time I
read it I learn and see something new that I had not seen before. It is a
living revelation of the Holy God who created all things for His good
pleasure. The Lord is the One who should be magnified above all people,
above all places and above all things. He should be Praised and Glorified
within our lives so that all who see us may more importantly see Him. The
Lord is worthy to receive the praises of His people and the quicker we
recognize that God is the One who is our provider, our sustainer and our
life giver, the quicker we will be in giving the Lord all the Glory for
the great things He has done in our lives.
(Hebrews 4:12) (Revelation 4:11) (Psalm 34:1-4)
I was reading in Genesis recently and I was newly amazed at how God created
the world and all that is in it. I read Genesis chapter 1 and when I got
to the end of the chapter, I felt led to read it again and then again and
I noticed something very particular that I had not noticed before. On the
first day God created light and when He was finished, God said that it was
good. God did the same thing on each subsequent day as well. God said
that it was good when He created the land that produced vegetation and
trees that grew seed bearing fruit. God said it was good after He created
the sun, moon and the stars. God said that it was good after He created
the fish and the creatures of the sea, the birds of the air and the animals
on the land, but it wasn't until He created man and gave him dominion over
all the earth that God said it was very good. (Genesis 1:1-31)
After God created man in His own image and gave them dominion over all the
earth and told them to be fruitful and multiply, that is when God looked
over all the work that He had created and saw that it was very good. Before
creating man and giving them dominion over His creation, God saw that
everything He created was good, but after creating man in His own image
and giving him dominion over His creation, God saw that it was very good.
One thing we should always keep in mind is that God sees us as a very good
creation. The Lord loves us with an everlasting love. His love for us
can never be measured, it can never be weighed and it can never be
diminished. His love for mankind was so great that He willingly came down
to earth and became a man just like us, but with a much greater purpose.
The Lord Jesus willingly suffered and died on a Cross so that we might be
reconciled back to God again and be one with Him just as Adam was the
beginning. (Jeremiah 31:3) (Isaiah 49:15-16) (Philippians 2:5-11)
Man's sinfulness was not enough to keep God from loving us. Romans 5:8-10
declares “But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were
yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by
His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. For if, when we were
enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of His Son, much more,
being reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.” It is through the Cross
of Christ that we become justified before God the Father. When He looks
upon us, He sees us through the blood of Christ and now God calls us His
beloved child not because we are righteous or justifiable, but because
Jesus was the perfect Sacrifice to redeem us and reconcile us back to God
again. (Hebrews 9:13-14) (1 Peter 1:3-5) (1 Peter 1:18-23)
No matter what you may go through and no matter what challenge or trial
comes before you, I want you to know that God sees you as very good. You
have not been forgotten, you have not been forsaken and you have not been
set aside. God's plans for you are very good. Your future is very good.
Your ending is very good. Our job is to stay in faith and have confidence
that all that came before us serves a purpose to strengthen us, to give us
an unwavering resolve and to remind us that God is faithful to His Word
and as long as we trust Him then all will be well with us. Have confidence
in God and with your actions show the Lord that your life is held securely
in the Palms of His Hands. (2 Cor. 4:8-11) (Jeremiah 29:11) (Philippians 1:6)
Read and meditate on these scriptures:
Psalm 16:8-11 “I have set the LORD always before me: because He is at my
right hand, I shall not be moved. Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory
rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope. For Thou wilt not leave my
soul in hell; neither wilt Thou suffer Thine Holy One to see corruption.
Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in Thy presence is fulness of joy; at
Thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.”
Psalm 103:1-5 “Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless
His holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits:
Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who
redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness
and tender mercies; Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy
youth is renewed like the eagle's.”
Psalm 118:5-9 “I called upon the LORD in distress: the LORD answered me,
and set me in a large place. The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what
can man do unto me? The LORD taketh my part with them that help me:
therefore shall I see my desire upon them that hate me. It is better to
trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man. It is better to trust in
the LORD than to put confidence in princes.”
2 Corinthians 4:17-18 “For our light affliction, which is but for a moment,
worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; While we
look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not
seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are
not seen are Eternal.”
